At my most burned out, I didn’t think art could help. But a 12-week creative therapy program slowly reconnected me to something I didn’t know I’d lost—myself. This is the story of how I began to bloom again, one gentle page at a time.

This past week, I didn’t paint, draw, or post much — and I almost let guilt sneak in. But what I did do? Show up for my family. And that mattered more than I can explain. If you’ve ever had to shift your priorities and felt bad about it, this one’s for you.

I never planned to start a creative business. But something’s been quietly blooming behind the scenes — and it’s time to share the story. This is a letter to you, from me, about how Blooming Everglow began and what’s coming next.

I thought my book-loving days were behind me—until one fantasy series pulled me back in hard. Suddenly, I remembered the books I devoured as a kid, the ones that shaped me, and how much I missed getting lost in a story. Now, I’m in my book era, and my Kindle is getting a major glow-up to match.

Life has been a mix of healing, creating, and new beginnings. After injuring my right arm (my painting arm—ugh), I’ve had to adjust how I make art, but I haven’t stopped! Between physical therapy, settling into our new home (we finally have a couch!), and working on a secret project, a lot has been happening behind the scenes. I’m sharing all the updates—including a possible YouTube video of my recent artwork. Catch up with me here!

Before moving into our new home, we decided to give the floors a full refresh. We upgraded nearly every room with durable, easy-to-clean LVP flooring—perfect for both everyday life and my new art studio in the loft! We also added cozy carpet to the bedrooms and stairs to keep things warm and inviting. Check out the before-and-after photos and see how this renovation transformed the look and feel of our space!
